That was a Great Thanksgiving!
The White House pardoned turkeys, Tater and Tot are back on the farm and the other turkeys are but a memory. However we can’t forget the beauty of Thanksgiving. Nothing better than celebrating Eucharist, which means to give thanks, and sharing a meal with family and friends. Once again Thank You, God.
But there will never be enough masses and prayers to truly acknowledge the goodness of God. He moved so many people to make it a great Thanksgiving. Thanks go to all the churches, organizations, missions and just good people who ‘get it’ by caring for the poor and homeless.
Soon it will be Christmas and this year we won’t forget the message of Thanksgiving, will we? Churches have giving trees and gifts from the angels. Don’t pass them by. The Red Kettle and the ringing bell outside your store will remind you. Don’t pass by. The St. Vincent de Paul Society is in your neighborhood. Don’t pass by.
Wow, we won’t forget…That was a Great Thanksgiving!
