St. Philip Neri
Today is the feast day of St. Philip Neri. Probably not a well known saint but one whose life is worth remembering. He was known as the second “apostle of Rome” with Paul being the first. What made him so special is the way he accomplished so much healing. He was known to have healed thousands in the confessional. The forgotten healing is the one that comes through forgiveness. What a gift to receive or give. And the healing through God’s forgiveness is immeasurable.
My remembrance and honor to St. Philip Neri is to never forget to forgive or ask for forgiveness. If there is someone in your life that needs your forgiveness, let it happen. It will be a great gift and it will free you for-giving!
