“The Prophet Knows How to Tell Time”
As we enter another season of the year, we are challenged to adjust to different temperatures, wind and precipitation. Sometimes that is very difficult.
In a world of craziness, we look for peace and for prophetic voices that can ease our tension. The prophet knows how to tell time…when it’s time to speak up, when it’s time to be silent, when to act or to watch, when to pray, when to work or rest. We seek some advice on how to adjust to these different challenges.
Perhaps even more challenging is how I adjust to other people. How do I accept those I really don’t like or agree with? How do I deal with all those annoying situations and people?
Jesus had to adjust to everyone: disciples, scribes, pharisees, the sick, the alienated, the poor and those who didn’t believe in Him or God, even those who wanted to kill Him. He truly was a prophet who knew how to tell time.
He loved them all. I pray for that!
