Be Strong in Your Faith
Today is the feast of St. Agnes. Agnes was declared a saint because of her martyrdom.
She was just 12 or 13 years old and refused to surrender her faith or her Christian beliefs. Her father begged her to deny her faith to stay alive, but she refused and suffered death.
To think such a young woman would be so strong in her faith gives me the inspiration to be as dedicated to my faith as much as possible because I am not threatened for believing.
This particular feast day has me wonder what a 12 or 13 year old would fear today. We live in a world today where there is fear and I pray today that we remove the things that bring fear, especially for children and young people.
