“Glory to God”
Today is the feast day of St. Therese of Lisieux. Therese was born in France and wanted to follow in the footsteps of her two older sisters so at the age of 15, joined the nuns at Carmel in Lisieux.
She wanted to be a missionary but contracted tuberculosis and never left the convent, dying at the age of 24. Her only published book was entitled, “Story of a Soul.” It was her story, and she said so often that everyone could give God glory and praise.
She was called and known as the “Little Flower.” She felt she was a little wildflower in God’s Garden of souls and as small as she might be, she still would give God glory and praise.
She inspired people to be someone who could do small things with a great amount of love and give great “Glory to God.”
