“WHERE IS GOD?”
One of the most quoted lines in scripture is: “Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened.” I once learned that there is one word missing. It is God. Ask for Him, seek Him and you will find Him. But where is He?
I remember many years ago reading a cute story about two Irish brothers, Collin and Mike. They were 6 and 8 years old. But they seemed to get into a lot of trouble, so mom decided to set up an appointment with their Pastor to see if Monsignor could straighten them out.
Collin told Mike he had to go in first since he was younger. Mike, scared to death, went in and Monsignor yelled, “Where is God?” No answer from Mike. Again, “Where is God?” Mike jumped up and ran out of the office and said to Collin, “Let’s get out of here! God is missing and they think we had something to do with it.”
God is everywhere, in creation, in our hearts, in church and especially at Mass. As you find Him, rejoice for this is truly a blessing.
