You Just Never Know
One of the greatest singers in our time is Andrea Bocelli. But as a young child all he wanted to do was play soccer. He joined every team he could and his dream was to one day be on an Italian soccer team.
His mother made a deal with him. He could join a special soccer team if he joined the church’s children’s choir. He did but then at twelve years old, he went blind.
No more soccer. No more dream. He was crushed and depressed.
The choir director told him that God had other plans and gave him an incredibly gifted voice. And as Paul Harvey said, “You know the rest of the story.” Andrea has brought so much joy and happiness to so many people.
Likewise for you and me….We are God’s gifts to the world. There is only one of you and there will never be another. God planned it that way. We offer God’s gifts to others and the world is a better place.
