“Eucharist means to give thanks”
Tomorrow is a day when Congress, in 1941, did something special to it. Thanksgiving was declared a national holiday and it proved to be such a wonderful move.
Families and friends gather to say… Thanks.
They celebrate in so many different ways: NFL Football; Recipe Sharing; and just good cooking and eating. And then the Christmas decorating can begin.
What a great day focusing on giving thanks it is for so many (except the turkey). And many even go to church to give thanks to the One who gives so much.
My thoughts are around the idea of “Giving Thanks,” and how it is done every day of the year in every Catholic Church throughout the world. The Picture for our reflection is a reminder of the best way to say “Thanks.”
The very word Eucharist means to give thanks. I’m so glad I have special way to THANK GOD.
