Fr. Bob’s Spiritual Reflection–2/19/2025
The Weather
I would like to offer a great thought or two for reflection today but as you can tell by the picture, conversations are being led by the weather. Here in Lemont, it is quite balmy today with a temperature of 18 degrees. Being a golfer has had me always checking the weather. And now with this Arctic blast of cold wind, I’m surely not playing golf but I’m still checking the weather. I’ve had to laugh a few times at myself being upset over something I have no control over and forgetting Who’s in charge of the weather and it’s not the forecaster on your favorite TV station. Maybe I just need to use this concern to be reminded of the need to accept what God has in store for all of us. He’s in Charge!
I’m moved to be concerned for those who suffer because of bad weather. People are cold; some have lost their homes; some have no place to go. I pray for those suffering and Thank God for it being easier for me. I live in a home almost 150 years old and I am warm. Please offer a few prayers today for those suffering from bad weather.
