“You Can’t Slow Down the Calendar”
It just seems like everything is going by so quickly. Thanksgiving came and was gone before I knew it. And now three weeks from today is Christmas Eve. Pretty soon I will be wondering how we got to 2026 so fast.
What do I do about it? I can’t slow down the calendar, but I can attempt to enjoy every day and every event.
I know that slowing down my own life with more prayer and enjoyment of small things really helps. And then to focus on all the good things that happen everyday.
I suspect that I will still be wondering why everything seems to be going by so fast and I realize that as I get older, it even seems faster but I can enjoy each moment as a gift from God.
I can smile and laugh more, rather than be upset that things happen so quickly. It is comforting to know I am in charge.
