“Every Moment is a Chance to Turn It All Around”
Today we celebrate the feast of Mary Magdalene, a saint that Scripture speaks about often.
Scholars have said that she was not an apostle of Jesus like some have said, but that she was definitely the apostle to the Apostles. She was included in so many of their get-togethers that she was thought to be one of them.
She was known as a close friend of Jesus and she was the first to witness His Resurrection.
But what is so meaningful to remember is that she gives the reason for Hope. In the uncertainty of life and the difficulties they bring, it is a challenge to have hope. Mary of Magdala gave us the reason in this: Every moment is a chance to turn it all around.
She transformed her life, had a great conversion and turned her life over to following Jesus. She showed that you can’t change the past but you can transform the present. She reminds us to ask God….”What do you think I should do with this moment?”
