“Celebrate”
Tomorrow we begin the Celebrations of the Holy Triduum, the holiest days of this being Holy Week.
We begin with Holy Thursday, remembering the Last Supper and the institution of the Sacrament of Eucharist. Friday we commemorate the gift of Jesus suffering and dying on the cross and then on the weekend we joyfully celebrate His victory on Easter.
The picture is a reminder of how He is always inviting us to join Him at the table for the great miracle of Eucharist, our communion with God.
All are welcome which is Pope Leo’s invitation as he pursues being the Pope of Unity and Peace. Pope Leo says we need to enlarge the tent so that all see how they are welcome. There is always an open seat at the table.
It isn’t easy to avoid His presence and his being there for us. So let us celebrate these special days with Him at the table.
