“HERE I AM LORD, I COME TO DO YOUR WILL.”
Today we celebrate the feast of the Annunciation. It is the day when Mary said “YES” when asked to do something miraculous. It is hard to believe that such a young woman could be filled with so much faith.
I always thank her parents Joachim and Anne. They must have been so connected to God and they transferred that to their daughter.
Mary’s YES made it possible for divinity to join with humanity when Jesus took the form of humanity and saved the world. I often wonder when do I have such an opportunity? I conclude it has to be celebrating Eucharist.
We humans get an opportunity to take the divinity into our bodies, souls, minds and hearts and hopefully change our lives. We truly are blessed as Catholics to have such a Sacrament that makes a miracle happen.
Our devotion to Mary is precious. When we say the “Hail Mary” we honor her and celebrate again the Annunciation.
