So here in Chicago was the first major snowfall since 2019. Well it snowed everywhere…Arizona got some and it even snowed in Malibu, California. It is no secret that I am not a fan of the stuff but it is just part of life.
As I drove to my doctor for my annual physical, I started thinking about the adage that there are always two sides to every story. So while the snow is no good to me, it is a welcome sight to children and those who have a snow removal business. What’s not so good for one is good for another. That’s just part of life, right? Some other examples: 74 million people were disappointed that Donald Trump lost the election but 82 million people were glad that he did lose. Or how about the folks in Green Bay with the loss of the Packers on the weekend and yet they were dancing in the streets in Tampa.
Often the message in the Bible is the challenge…”rejoice with those who are rejoicing and weep with those who are weeping.” When it’s not good for me, I sometimes forget that it might be okay for someone else. In the long run, Life is Wonderful…without it you’re dead. And to all of you kids, big and small, enjoy the snow!
