Looking for White Smoke
Today begins the papal conclave when cardinals will choose a new Vicar of Christ. We know the Holy Spirit will guide them, but we can still have our personal hopes for a particular cardinal we think will continue what Francis began…in any case it’s important that whomever they choose God can rely on our prayerful support for their choice.
Next Sunday is Mother’s Day and we take a day to honor these gifts God has given us. Inspite of everything, we were blessed that our mothers and fathers along with God gave us life. In many places Mother’s Day is the day many young children receive our Lord in Holy Communion for the first time. We pray the excitement they have at this time will be with them for the rest of their lives.
We pray in gratitude for these great events happening in the month of our Blessed Mother.
