Spiritual Reflection

They are everywhere! Today we celebrate the Feast of All Saints and it is a good time to remember the goodness shown through so many people.  We honor and pay tribute to our favorite saint, or our patron saint or a saint that inspired us.  For so many different reasons we were blessed:  they taught; they began different ministries; they served the poor; they died for their faith, etc.  And they were recognized by the Pope and the church through their canonization.  But so many were not officially recognized and still they were saints because people shared their stories and their inspiration.

What about all the people who have touched our lives with their holiness; their faith; their good works; their genuine care for people.  I honor today my parents, my teachers and friends who never stopped loving.  There is no question of their sainthood.  Please remember yours today!  And I finally pay homage to a saint who is part of my daily life, St. Vincent DePaul, a saint for all ages and all people.
