Spiritual Reflection

Just read an article in Golf Digest entitled, “In the Year of the Bogey.”  After watching so much golf on TV, you start to wonder how bad is a bogey.  The pros are always putting for eagles and birdies.  And then we go out for our day of golf and can’t figure out how hard it is to get a birdie or even a par.  So what’s so bad about a bogey?  Leo Trevino once said that if you get a 5 on every hole and bogey the par threes, you will score an 86.  That is pretty good with a lot of bogeys.

So the moral of the story is “Don’t be afraid of the bogeys.”  Perhaps a message for today…Just don’t be afraid.  Fear has a way of paralyzing us.  I plan to make every putt so I seldom three putt cuz there is no fear on the green.  In our day to day living, we will score well if we get rid of the fear!
