Who is your Guardian Angel?
We are finishing a parish mission here in California at Holy Angels parish. Monday Bob and I spent the morning at the school visiting and listening to the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders. It was a great experience because of the depth of faith and life we heard from these students. Their interest in Lent, our priesthood and their gratitude for our veterans who have fought in wars was very inspiring.
Somehow my thoughts went to the guardian angels who are designated to protect them. They seem to be doing well watching over them. And then it brought me to my guardian angel. How often do I pray in gratitude and appreciation for my protection? And I ask you when is the last time you thanked your guardian angel? I remember in grade school how often the Daughters of Charity reminded us to pray to our guardian angels. Now I know why they are Holy Angels!
