“When was the last time you were that excited? ”
Oh to be that excited!!
In celebrating the feast of the Visitation of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth, it was hard not to see the joy these two women had, not only in seeing each other, but also celebrating the joy of preparing for the birth of their children. And look who these two children would be: John and Jesus. And what a difference they would make in the world.
When was the last time you were that excited? Was it because of what you would do to make this world a better place? Was it just being with family and celebrating a holiday? Or could it have been you just realized that God IS there and has been there all along?
My brother and I witnessed a man who really wanted to become a Catholic being baptized in California last week. The Joy of him and his family and friends was easy to see and was a strong reminder of the beauty of belonging to a loving church family. He was really excited to be welcomed.
It is my constant prayer that there be more joy and excitement in your life and that God and your church family may be the pieces that make it a reality. HE said that it would, and that is exciting.
