Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry
Today is the feast of St. Pius of Pietrelcina Italy, more widely known as Padre Pio. That was the name he took when he entered the Capuchin Order of priests when he was 16 years old. After he was ordained a priest, he spent his entire life bringing reconciliation to so many people who came to him for confession. His famous saying was this: “Pray, hope and don’t worry. Worry is useless when you believe in a loving and merciful God.”
That is not easy to do, is it? So many things can bring about fear and doubt. How do you not worry? Maybe if it isn’t that important it won’t be serious enough to doubt or fear and worry. And maybe somebody you know has it just a little more difficult.
This guy came up behind Robbie with a gun and said “Stick em up!” Robbie said “You got the wrong guy cuz I don’t have a nickel to my name!” Robber said “You think you got it bad? I haven’t been able to buy bullets for this gun in two months.”
Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry!
