Spiritual Reflection

You know what I was thinking?  Every joy in heaven seems to have its origin in some sorrow here on earth.  Isn’t our getting to heaven the direct result of the suffering and death of Jesus on the cross?  And don’t we get to heaven because of repentance, confession, perseverance, enduring trials, facing pain and various afflictions, overcoming temptation and suffering one problem or another.

So I would just ask you to take heart as we go through this life with its various difficulties along the way.  Those problems of ours will be turned into joy because of our faithfulness to our Lord.  What does Scripture say?  Our tears will be turned into joy.
