One of the greatest joys and blessings Bob and I have received over the course of our Mission Work has been the Mission Cruises. We look forward to our next one in May of 2023 when we sail from Seattle to cruise Alaska.
While cruising we have been to so many beautiful and historical places. Most of all we have been with wonderful people who have become our friends.
Over the many years of doing these Mission Cruises we have lost some of our cruising friends. The number of those who have died is fifteen. It is hard to believe but it is a reminder of how fleeting our time here really is.
The picture you see in this reflection is the latest cruise friend who has left us. But as we miss Oristeen, we also remember all the others who have been so special to us. My reflection on this is how important it is for us to remember those who have gone before us, especially our parents and friends.
Remembering the dead is a spiritual work of mercy. We are blessed today because of them. I am so grateful that God put them in my life. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord.
